It has been an annoying experience for a computer user to encounter errors while doing some important research, assignments, or while browsing over the internet. User may be welcomed by the computer with an error message, or while doing some works the computer suddenly stops working or even shuts down.
In contrast, it is a pleasant experience for a computer user if he can maximize the capabilities of his computer, that is, away from worries of harmful viruses or a corrupt file due to improper handling of its important files(e.g. system files).

These are some of the most important softwares/utilities that I am currently using to avoid some of those common problems:
1. Antivirus --- AVG, Symantec, Avast, Avira, etc. (you can try
which of these antivirus softwares will really keep you out of
trouble)
2. Registry Mechanic --- this software will help you get rid of unnecessary files left about by installing/uninstalling a program. This will repair registry related errors. One example is that, after booting up, there's a delay in the display of the windows welcome screen. Better scan your computer with registry mechanic to eliminate those errors.
3. QuickSmash --- The latest version of this software the time i'm making this post is QuickSmash 4.6. This, with your antivirus software, will really protect your PC from malwares. I usually run a "smash" everytime i insert removable drives in my computer. After smashing, i also run the antivirus before opening the removable drive or USB flash drive. QuickSmash will also delete suspicious 'autorun.inf' files if ever found in the drive.
4. Autorun Eater --- This will remove suspicious autorun.inf that is hidden in your flash drive.
