How I Learned Search Engine Optimization(SEO)?
Actually, i've created this blog last February 2009. During that time, i did not know what to do next after i created the blog. I simply published some articles that pertain to my daily activities - my hobbies, what i did in school, etc. I was really eager to see my blog in search engine results page(SERP) but i was frustrated because for almost 6 months of posting articles, my blog is still not visible in search engine. The name of this blog that time was WILL OF THE WIND. I don't have direction for this blog. I installed Google Adsense for my blog because i heard that i can earn money if someone clicks on the ads. But how can i earn the promised money if nobody sees my blog?The blog became dead sometime in August. No more post was published and i never visited my own blog.
On the last week of October, i attended a blogging seminar which gave my blog another chance to live - a breathe of life. From that seminar, i learned more about blogging and the fact that blogging is an alternative livelihood source. The resource speakers of the said blogging seminar were: Alma Cafe and Cool Buster. Alma Cafe is the author of the blog Reach Beyond Your Limits while Cool Buster is the man behind the success of Coolbuster.net .
Due to limited time, Search Engine Optimization(SEO) for a blog was not fully discussed. The things related to SEO that were introduced are: making quality contents and submitting your blog to blog directories and social bookmarking website. For a newbie blogger with a newly established blog, joining Twitter and Facebook were not enough.
My Model Blogs
The blog which serves as my inspiration in terms of Search Engine Optimization is Coolbuster.net. I always visit this blog so that i can gain insights on what i'm going to do with my blog. I checked almost every links available from Coolbuster.net. The question that i'm asking while browsing through the blog is: How this blog generated a lot of traffic? Then a link caught my attention - the SEO link. Because of the mind awakening feature of the link, i started searching Google for more information about Search Engine Optimization or SEO for short.
Coolbuster noticed that i became active with my blog so he suggested a link to get a search engine optimized template. Without hesitation, i downloaded one and started a make over for my blog. Out of my curiosity, i visited other blogs which are on the top of blog listing directory like TopBlogs. From the list of high-traffic blogs, i stumbled to SeLaplana.com and Macuha.com. From those blogs, i learned more about Search Engine Optimization(SEO) - onsite and offsite. I also learned about "keyword hacking" and more stuffs on how to make money online.
Not satisfied, i search more about SEO and make money online. I then stumbled to a famous blog - John Chow dot com. This blog is really making money online and the author shares his secret on how to do things right on the following topics: Search Engine Optimization, How to Increase Pagerank, and how to do affiliate marketing.
Conclusion
Learning how to blog and how to do it right is just a keyboard away. Being curious pays more in terms of learning new things like Search Engine Optimisation(SEO). Many things have been unearthed regarding this topic and many more are waiting to be unraveled by your curious mind and with the help of Google. Blogging then requires patience and persistence aside from being curious. If you really determined to become successful in your blogging venture, your free tool to success is using Google properly.

I've learned SEO through my first job. I am a new graduate and i found a company who does this kind of business and they help me learning it and its really fun. SEO is not something you can learn over night. You can learn the basic then learn on your own as changes on the internet happened over night.
