Teaching is indeed a noble profession hence, teachers must be recognized in performing this noble job. What message or gift you can offer to your teacher or teachers on World Teachers' Day 2010?
World Teachers' Day, held annually on October 5th since 1994 - when it was created by UNESCO - celebrates the magnanimity of teaching as a profession. Its aim is to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.
On World Teachers' Day 2010, hundreds, thousands or even millions of students, parents and activists world wide will pay tribute to all teachers who have been directly or indirectly affected by a major crisis.
Be it a humanitarian crisis, such as the earthquake in Haiti and China, or the global economic crisis that has devastated many developed economies over the past years, the role of teachers and other education personnel is vital to social, economic and intellectual rebuilding.
All those who are fighting to provide quality education to children of the world can join teachers and their representative organizations to celebrate the profession and show them their support!
Do you value the painstaking efforts made by your teachers just to cultivate your young mind?
