ABS-CBN News answered the fact behind the true owner of President Benigno Aquino III's Lexuz sports utility vehicle (SUV). According to the data gathered by the news network through the Land Transportation Office (LTO), PNoy's Lexuz SUV with plate no. PIZ 808 is owned by the government.
This was contrary to the statement made by the President that the Lexuz was leased by his brother-in-law and lent to him.

After checking with the LTO, the SUV's plate is not a regular plate but a "security plate."
LTO Assistant Secretary Virginia Torres said security plates are only issued to government-owned vehicles.
Administrative Order No. 82-004 states that issuance of security plates should be limited to government vehicles.
