New Domain Name - A New Beginning

If you are following this blog, you will surely notice the major change that is happening here. Scolex Portal has moved to its new domain name! From scolexportal.blogspot, this gaming blog now becomes www.scolexportal.com. I considered this change of domain name a major change because i lose my PageRank and all the backlinks that i gained for more than half-a-year existence in blogosphere.

Because i do not have enough budget to buy domain name, i preferred the most affordable domain name available at godaddy.com - the .info domain name. But as usual, I prefer this blog to be hosted by blogger for free. If I have the budget, my option is to go with Wordpress.org and buy some good  hosting package that would enhance the performance of this blog.

What's Next?
There are a lot of things to be done for this gaming blog. The following are my targets as starting points with my new domain name:
  • Start building quality backlinks;
  • Submit this blog to different blog listing directories;
  • Target related blogs for a link exchange; and
  • Create "evergreen" contents.
For those who are following this blog, i will not only focus on games, i will also publish articles about the following categories:
  • Technology (news and gadgets)
  • Blogging Tips and Tricks
  • Search Engine Optimization(SEO)
  • Music Updates
  • Photo-editing with Adobe Photoshop
  • Make Money Online
