Terran vs Zerg Strategy - Preparing for the Zergling Rush

Have you tried playing Terran vs Zerg in StarCraft 2? Did your strategy work well? Maybe you are disappointed in your first attempt to play as Terran with an enemy Zerg because you were not able to prepare for the Zerg rush. Zerg players rely with the opening game Zerg strategy - the Zergling rush. If you did not anticipate the rush, you will end up losing your game within the first 5 - 10 minutes of the game. If you survived the rush, then you are lucky.

Here i will give you a quick hint on how you can win against a Zerg enemy. The first thing to do is to maximize your minerals in the early part of the game. A good Terran vs Zerg StarCraft 2 strategy is to prepare your force in the much anticipated Zergling rush. Here are the steps to follow:

• Build up to 8 to 10 SCVs so that your remaing unit to supply ratio is 10/11. 
• Build your first Barracks.
• Build Supply Depot so that you can purchase additional SCVs and the first Marine.
• After the Barracks has been built, train 2 or 4 more Marines.
• Build Bunker to fortify your defense against the zerglings.
• Build Refinery to gather vespene gas - 2 SCVs gathering vespene gas at the early part will do.
• Add more Barracks up to 3 Barracks - for faster unit training.
• Have at least 4 bunkers fully loaded with Marines.
• Build Engineering Bay and upgrade it so that you can increase the maximum capacity of the bunker to 2.
• If you have enough minerals and vespene gas, build Factory so that you can have Siege Tanks with Siege mode ability.

If you are just quick, you can really survive the zergling rush. But that's not the end, prepare for more enemies coming unto your base to kill all your units and demolish all your buildings.

*Note the key to winning in a Terran vs Zerg game, is the proper use of the early game strategy that i enumerated above. Terran vs Zerg strategy in StarCraft 2 will really call for the best judgment of the player. The situation may change as your enemy Zerg will change its strategy so that he can penetrate your early defenses.
