Everytime i install programs or softwares for a new personal computer, netbook or notebook, i always have these 10 Most Important Softwares also installed after the OS has been successfully installed.
The ten softwares that i gonna mention here are my personal choice. Your choice maybe different to mine so just share what you think are the important software for you.
1. MS Office 2007/2010
This is very important in all type of computers - PC, netbook or notebook. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Groove, InfoPath, OneNote, Outlook and Publisher. For customized installation, i will only install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher.
2. Nero 7 Essentials
For CD or DVD Burning. This software is a must especially in storing audio, video or data on CDs or DVDs.
3. Adobe Photoshop
For Photo Editing, Logo Making, and designing Electronic Poster. For basic photo-editing feature, i prefer Adobe Photoshop 7.0 but if you want to experience other features of Adobe Photoshop you can choose from - Adobe Photoshop CS, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Photoshop CS4 or Adobe Photoshop CS5.
4. Anti Virus - Symantec, AVG, Avira, Kaspersky, NOD32, CCleaner and Panda
For Protection against malware: worms, trojans, virus, and spyware. Never explore the web if you haven't installed an updated antivirus in your desktop PC or laptop.
5. Autorun Eater or USB Disk Security
For protection against viruses that easily spread through flash drive or removable disk.
6. Registry Mechanic
For fixing registry related errors and removal of temporay files. For my netbook and notebook PC, i used Registry Mechanic 9.0.
7. Total Video Converter
Converts audio or video file from one format to another. (example: .wma to .mp3, .wmv to .avi, .flv to .mp3, etc.)
8. U-Torrent
For downloading torrents in the internet. You can use this software to download mp3, movies, documents, software, and games from the internet.
9. Additional Internet Browsers - Mozilla FireFox, Chrome, Safari.
There are other websites that can be viewed in its best appearance using other internet browsers other than Microsoft Internet Explorer.
10. Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia
For research, especially if the internet is offline or you do not have internet connection. This is really applicable to me because the area where i work has no stable internet connection.
