My Suggestions:
For SMARTBRO UNLISURF 200 - Smart should not deduct an amount for a wrong keyword when registering, it should not deduct in case a customer sent UNLISURF 200 to a wrong number, and it should not deduct an amount in case your balance is not enough for UNLISURF 200.

I have two wireless broadband kits - one is Smart Bro Broadband and the other one is Globe Tattoo Broadband. Here are my experiences regarding the two products:
Internet Speed/Bandwidth:
Here in our locality - in Mati City, Davao Oriental, Globe is much faster compared to Smart Bro in terms of bandwidth. Globe can capture HSDPA signal while Smart is just GPRS/EDGE but as soon as you are connected, the signal is purely GPRS. Globe Tattoo Broadband can reach as much as 800mbps and i was able to download videos from Youtube while Smart Bro's max speed is only lesser than 100mbps.
Service:
In terms of customer satisfaction, i have a good time with Globe Tattoo Broadband. Eventhough i was not able to register to its SUPERSURF 50 faster, my account balance was not deducted. In contrast, SmartBro will deduct you P1.00 if you happen to register to UNLISURF 200 and you don't have enough balance. In addition, Smart Bro will deduct you 2.50 if you send UNLISURF to a wrong number like for example 220 instead of 2200. Smart Bro will also deduct 1.00 if you happen to register with a wrong keyword like UNLISURF200 instead of UNLISURF 200.
My Point of View:
My only complain regarding Globe Broadband Tattoo is that i have hard time registering with its SUPERSURF50 promo. It sometimes took me 5 to 7 attempts before i can register to their SUPERSURF50.
For Smart Bro, it happened to me that when i register to its UNLISURF 200, it says: "Sorry, your account does not have enough load to register. Please reload and try again. This txn is charged P1." Then i ask somebody to "PasaLoad" me with an amount of P5.00 thinking that the 200 load that i previously loaded was only 199.00 because of its unfair deduction. After the Pasaload and i tried to register again to UNLISURF 200, a message appeared again: "Sorry, your account does not have enough load to register. Please reload and try again. This txn is charged P1." What a f***!
It really irritates me! I don't want to convince you that Globe Broadband Tattoo is better compared to SMARTBRO, but based on my own experience, GLOBE is far much better in delivering a wireless broadband experience. I even tried asking my friends who are residing in Davao City and they prefer Globe instead of SMART in terms of Wireless USB dongle.

For GLOBE Tattoo Broadband - In order not to irritate your customer of typing and sending the keyword SUPERSURF50, your system must see to it that all SUPERSURF50 registrants must be able to register anytime without the experience of failed registration.

i liked globe tatoo better than smart bro becuase of its speed. I liked the unli surf as well but since wednesday, i have been trying to register but of no success, i have called their customer service for the nth time and all they say is it is on upgrade. I tried again today and still cannot registered, i also called to inform them and still say that i should try again...
ReplyDeletehow much longer should i try? If its not working anymore.. why cant they just inform the public rather than having to wait and keep trying but just gives you frustration. I do have a smart bro but for some reason, it doesnt work well with my laptop.

ReplyDeleteas of my opinion, if you want to enjoy playing online games, do not use USB Broadband modem. You can't have a stable connection if you are using those devices. Better subscribe to their Unlimited Monthly package.

ReplyDeleteFor me even I have Smart Bro unlimited surfing for a package of 999 a month, compared to Globe Tatoo where you load it P50, P100, or P200. Globe Tatoo is still faster..I have finally decided to terminate my Smart Subscription and will apply for Globe Broadband + Landline unlimited internet.

ReplyDeletehere in our place Tungao, Butuan City, Smart upgraded their GPRS to EDGE but the bad thing is that EDGE connection is much slower than the their GPRS. Why is it so? We all know that the bandwidth of Edge is more faster than GPRS. Why is it the other way around? In my GPRS connection i got 35 to 53 kbps but now in Edge i only got 11 to 29 kbps and a slow surfing. Smart Technicians, better check your module maybe its not functioning well........
