President Benigno Aquino III (PNoy) rejected a proposal to declare February 3, Chinese New Year, a holiday.
Pnoy said in a text message that the proposal came too late because he already had the list of holidays for the national calendar of 2011.
The decision of Philippine President is in accordance with Proclamation No. 84 which outlined the special and regular holidays for 2011.
So it's final! Chinese New Year is a regular working day.
