This game is indeed a "blackhole" among the games in Facebook. I played similar game and i really enjoyed being a mayor. The game with similar story line and game flow is Sim City(not a Facebook game).
Why i termed CityVille as a blackhole.?
This new Facebook game from Zynga has pulled too many players around the world in just a month of existence. CityVille is such a giant game in the realm of social gaming because it was able to eclipse FarmVille in terms of popularity.
Don't go nearer with the game if you don't want to be attracted with its very strong gravity or else you can never leave and stay playing the game whole day and night...(lol). I'm not threatening you guys. I'm just telling the truth that this game is capable of making you a game addict. I must admit that i got hooked with this game even though i have a very slow internet connection. I can only access CityVille with a flashy internet connection when i'm at the city. But during regular days i tried and persevered to be connected with the internet so that i can visit and manage my city in CityVille.
When will this "blackhole" fade?
I have a question in my mind as one of the CityVille fanatics - When will this strong gravity of CityVille last? I guess for decade. Zynga would have a very hard time inventing a new game that will surpass the popularity and the gravity as CityVille has. If ever Zynga would be able to produce another game that can outnumber the players of CityVille then the people behind Zynga games are really genius and creative. I salute you guys!
What are the competitions inside the "blackhole"?
With the end goal to be the richest and powerful city in CityVille, millions of players are really on a very tough competition.
