Facebook's "Like" Feature Analogy

While following some famous twitters in the world for what are there updates, my attention was caught by a tweet about Facebook's "Like" feature. If you are an avid Facebook fan, the "Like" feature is not new to you but for those who are new with FB then you must understand how this feature works.

When one of your friends published a post, link, photo or events in their Facebook's status page, there are three options you can do regarding that particular post - LIKE, COMMENT or SHARE.

Most FB users who are not comfortable with leaving any comment will simply click the word "LIKE" under a particular post or photo. Here's an analogy about Facebook LIKE as tweeted by Jordan Rubin:
'Liking' something on Facebook instead of commenting is like nodding at someone in an elevator instead of saying hello.
If ever you meet your friend somewhere, what will you do? Just nod or say hello?
In Facebook, if your friend posted something, what is your common response - LIKE or COMMENT?

The more valuable to me when i've posted something is to generate some comments from my friends because a single comment starts a discussion. Many new insights will come into the scene when somebody posted a relevant comment. Like in blogging, i feel rewarded when people who visited my post left a comment after reading it - may it be positive or negative.

Now, can you leave some relevant comment in this post?
