The first sign that Boston Celtics is rebuilding was when they let coach Doc Rivers go to Los Angeles Clippers and now getting rid of Kevin Garnet and Paul Pierce confirmed it.
Everybody was shocked when a news came out about the rebuilding stage of the Boston Celtics without their head coach, Doc Rivers and recently, another news came out involving an agreement between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics to trade players.
The Celtics have agreed to the terms of a deal that would send the two remaining members of the Big Three that won the 2008 NBA title to the Brooklyn Nets for a package of draft picks and players.
According to their trade agreement, Celtics will get Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks, Keith Bogans, Kris Joseph, and three 1st round picks (2014, 2016, 2018) while the Nets can have Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Jason Terry.
Boston is now left with Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green and Avery Bradley, along with Jared Sullinger and first-round draft pick Kelly Olynyk, a 7-footer from Gonzaga. The team is trying to make this move to hopefully end their longest championship drought in franchise history.
