The first time I heard about it - I just ignored the idea, but Facebook Phone is indeed real. There was no exact detail about when will it come into the market but it's true that it is on the way to make our social networking experience into the next level.

- Facebook is working with INQ, a phone manufacturer, on two Facebook-focused smartphones.
- Two high level Facebook employees – Joe Hewitt and Matthew Papakipos – are said to be secretly working on the project, which is unknown even to most Facebook staff.
- Facebook phone is an Android phone by various cell phone manufacturers optimized for social experiences with Facebook's help.
- INQ Mobile, is the first partner of FB with this latest project.
- To support its veracity, INQ has released a video featuring a demo on Facebook Phone.
- The name of the phone is INQ Cloud Touch, an Android smartphone deeply integrated with the world's largest social network.
- The phone is NOT actually a Facebook Phone (not manufactured by Facebook).
- Expect to see a lot more phones with Facebook in the near future but don't expect a Facebook Phone.
- A deal with AT&T is not yet final and phones may not arrive in US soon.
- Mashable has seen the demo of the FB phone - INQ Cloud Touch by INQ CEO Frank Meehan and has captured a lot of photos featuring the phone.
- Facebook phone release date and price have not been revealed yet. Speculation said it would be during holiday, maybe this summer.
- It runs with Android 2.2 - it runs apps, connect to your Google accounts, and does everything else an Android phone is supposed to do.
- The phone will feature Spotify.
- Your Facebook ID will become more important than your phone number; to activate the phone, you'll log in with your Facebook ID and everything (contacts, apps) will automagically sync.
- The home screen has been customized with Facebook widget.
