Recently, a drama series (Teleserye) called The Legal Wife came into picture and is now becoming part of almost everyone’s night. It’s basically about the wife having problems with her husband who had an affair with another girl who is unfortunately his wife’s best friend. They realized it was a mistake at first but because of their own version of “love”, they continued and kept their forbidden relationship. But things started to heat up and their secret became a scandal which made this teleserye to trend almost every night on all social networking sites.
I think people nowadays are realistic and open-minded enough to face this kind of issue especially that it’s really happening in real life, not just the problem alone but the emotions felt by each character. The actors and actresses also are very good in portraying their roles which made it more addicting to watch. Every viewer has their own opinions and reactions to every episode, to every character, and to every line being said.
The Legal Wife involves similar problems like some families and couples are facing and that is why it is a hit. People choose to watch because they want to know the reason behind every character’s role, they want to face the reality that this is really happening and they want to avoid having this problem in their own lives.
As the story progresses, things are getting more complicated. It’s easy for us to say that Monica (played by Angel Locsin) should leave Adrian (Jericho Rosales) or Nicole (Maja Salvador) should just go away and get rid of their lives or they just forgive each other and all other solutions. But this teleserye shows nothing’s easy especially talking about family, not just simply the two of them but their son most importantly. You can see how difficult it is for a mother to give up his husband that easy despite what he has done not just because she loves him but also because she doesn’t want to ruin her son’s picture of a family.
Regret always comes last and Adrian had shown a lot of that but Nicole would never let him go easily. A lot of viewers hate her and she hates herself too. Things are really heating up and as their story continues, there will be more to learn. No matter what they show and how they acted it, it’s all up to the viewers in the end if they can learn and understand the side of every character and the lesson that The Legal Wife wants to teach us.
The Legal Wife is not an ordinary teleserye because it created an emotional connection and attachment to people because of how realistic the story is and how brilliant the actors are and the people behind it as well. More things to watch for in the coming episodes and let’s see how Monica, Adrian and Nicole will get through this.
