Tropical Storm Pedring (International Name: NESA) intensifies and the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa) has declared several provinces under Signal # 3. Retired Major General Carlos P. Garcia is now jailed in New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City after he was transferred from Camp Aguinaldo, as reported by Inquirer News. Maj. Gen. Garcia was arrested September 16, 2011 (Friday) at approximately 8:30 in the morning. The arrest was done based on the verdict issued by the military court on charges of violation of Articles of War 96 and 97. Report said that Garcia, 85, is expected to undergo a medical check-up before being put in jail.
